Types of Media offered for Commissions

Ink on Paper

These inkings are completed using a specialized hatching technique.  You can also add a pop of color by choosing to add gouache or watercolor.

Watercolor 

For watercolor paintings, you can choose either one tone (such as Sepia), or multi-color (even for black and white photographs).

Oil Painting

For oil paintings, you can choose a more traditional portrait or a looser interpretation with modern colors.

There is a temporary hold on commissions due to Margaret Fanning's schedule.  Commissions will resume later in the year.

The Portrait Ordering Process

While submitting a photo reference for the portrait, the customer can include any specifications, such as media preference, in the Comment section.  By submitting the photo(s) for reference, the customer authorizes all rights of the photograph(s) to the artist, Margaret Fanning. 
Payment:
After the photograph(s) are submitted, the artist will require a 30% deposit to cover supplies.  Once completed, the artist will send a digital proof for the customer's approval.  Small alterations can be made at this point.  Once approved, the artist will require the remaining 70%, as well as any shipping and handling charges, before shipping the portrait.
Timeline:
The timeline for completion varies depending on multiple factors, such as size, media, and intricacy of the artwork, as well as time awaiting payment and approval.
